Light up the night ✨ VIVID Sydney 2019

The famous VIVID Sydney Festival kicks off in under 2 weeks, and by the looks of this year's program it's set to be a big one. Each year the festival highlights the work of artists and innovators across 3 subjects; Light, Music & Ideas. While VIVID is most well-known for the lights component of the festival, there are some incredible musicians performing across the 3 weeks, as well as interesting talks from thought-provoking speakers on topics ranging from fashion to technology, sustainability and creativity. To help you plan your trip to VIVID, we done all the research for you to come up with some must-see, do's and hear's from this year's line up!

Maggie Rogers - The Sydney Opera House, 29th May

Taking a pit stop at the Sydney Opera House during her Australian tour for her debut album 'Heard it in a Past Life', Maggie Rogers is set to wow for her very first VIVID live performance.


Mad Racket - The Sydney Opera House, 24th May

This open air house party on the steps of the Sydney Opera House is sure to get the heart pumping and your body moving! The four diverse DJ's that make up the Mad Racket crew are sure to be familiar faces to many Sydney locals, as they have been organising and headlining gigs in Marrickville since the late 1990's. With an awe-inspiring view and great tunes, you really couldn't ask for a better night of music!


Kiddo Disco Winter Onesie Land - Darling Harbour, 15th June

Now this one is one for the families! Dust off your onesies and shake out those frozen limbs, you'll need to be warmed up to enjoy this high-energy dance party. Perfect for children ages 2-12, the kids will get their groove on while learning some dance moves from the Kiddo Disco Dancers and DJ's. Can't make it to the event on the 15th? Check out the Ocean Life Kiddo Disco on the 1st June or the Crazy Hair Kiddo Disco on the 8th June

How to Talk About Climate Change- Museum of Contemporary Art, 1st June

This 1.5 workshop is presented by Anna Rose, an Australian author, activist and environmentalist who is part of Farmers for Climate Action. The aim of the workshop is to equip you with the tools and knowledge to tackle conversations about his often overwhelming topic in a way that will spark a change in attitude and behaviour.


Vogue Codes Summit - Barangaroo, 14th June

This year will mark the 4th annual Vogue Codes Summit Sydney, where inspirational panelists and keynote speakers come together to discuss how they are driving action and change in the technology industry. The event includes breakfast canapes, morning tea & lunch, and ends in a exclusive networking session with the speakers.
